Why does Java say it cannot save score?

It is possible that you have some security software that is blocking Java from sending data to the internet. You can test this by temporarily disabling your anti-virus and firewall programs and allowing all network traffic. If saving works, then the security software is causing the problem. In this case, you need to allow Java applets to send data to the internet.

If you still can't save, open the Java icon in Control Panel. Click on Network Settings button and check that you have Use browser settings checked. Alternatively if you need to set a specific proxy server manually, you can do so here. You can also try clearing Temporary Internet files here, in case a broken download is causing a problem (although unlikely).

If none of this works, other option is to try using a different browser like Firefox or Google Chrome or try accessing the site from a different computer.
