Typing Meter 11

Typing Meter is a background tool that tracks your typing patterns to help you improve your skills. Here’s how it works:

1. The Typing Meter widget monitors your typing in the background while you work.

2. Based on your typing statistics, it identifies recurring problem areas.

3. If new issues are detected, Typing Meter suggests a personalized training session.

4. You can practice specific letters and/or words that cause difficulties.

Privacy & Security Settings

You can choose whether Typing Meter analyzes only individual letters or both letters and full words. This choice affects your data privacy.

If you enable Typing Meter, you can later adjust the following security settings via the settings (…) button:

- Analyze typed words: Choose whether Typing Meter stores and analyzes full words (Yes/No).
- Word storage limit: Define how many words are stored for analysis (50-2000).
- Auto-launch: Enable or disable Typing Meter at login (Yes/No).
- User list display: Choose whether to show the user list at device startup (Yes/No).

These settings help you control how Typing Meter handles your typing data while maintaining your privacy.

Typing Meter - Security Information

Typing Meter is able to monitor the words that you type in all other applications unless you choose the high security mode to disable collecting of words.

Typing Meter itself does not fulfill the high security requirements. However, a reasonable security can be obtained using appropriate Windows security settings. Make sure that:

1 No-one else has access to your Windows account / knows your password
2 No-one else has Administrator access to your whole Windows computer
3 You always lock your computer when not at your computer
4 Keep on eye the words appearing on the list of your difficult words

Security Tips if you allow TypingMeter to collect the words you type

Select the amount of words to store on your hard drive
Only the limited amount of typed words are saved on your device (50-2000 words) by TypingMeter. For extra safety, you can choose to store e.g. max. 200 words on your hard disk. Your words are stored in a random order.
Use Passwords Longer than 8 characters
For extra safety, you should use long passwords. TypingMeter always stops analyzing words that are longer than 8 characters.
  Use Strong Passwords
For extra safety, you should use special marks and/or numbers in any passwords you use. TypingMeter always stops analyzing non-alphabetic words (e.g. "Saf4ty", "Secret123", "Cat!Dog", "Cat1Dog")
  Confidential Applications
If you type confidential information in one or more applications, you can stop Typing Analyzer from monitoring by pressing Pause symbol from the Typing Meter dialog.
  Confidential Documents
If you need to type a document that contains confidential information, you can temporarily pause Typing Meter, too.
Uninstallation / Remove the data from your device
When uninstalling the TypingMaster 11, you are asked if you also want to delete your user study data located inside your Windows profile folder C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\TypingMaster11
