What is Typing Meter Widget?

Typing Meter is a background tool that measures and analyzes your typing habits while you work.

Typing Meter monitors your typing and detects keys and (optionally) words that are problematic for you.

  • Monitors your typing in the background while you work
  • Analyzes individual keys and bigrams (keypairs) to identify problem patterns
  • Detects recurring problem areas based on your typing statistics
  • Suggests personalized training sessions when new problems are detected
  • Allows you to practice specific keys and words that cause difficulties

NOTE: Word monitoring is disabled by default and can be enabled in the security settings.

Visibility and Control

Typing Meter is visible on your screen when active and does not hide. You can pause monitoring at any time using the Pause button in the widget.

Privacy and Security

Word monitoring is disabled by default. Typing Meter can monitor words typed in other applications only if you enable word collection in the privacy settings.

Typing Meter saves typing-related data, such as key hits, bigrams (keypairs), and optional word data, to your Application Data folder. This data is used only within the software to show statistics and create personalized typing exercises.

Typing Meter does not send typing data anywhere and does not use it for any other purpose.
