On the middle row of your keyboard, you will find the home keys. Always begin with your fingers on these home keys. They are the base from which all other keys can be reached.

Now place your fingers on the home keys:
1. Home keys for the left hand are A S D F
2. Home keys for the right hand are J K L ;
3. Let your thumbs rest lightly on the space bar
4. Keep your fingers lightly curved and wrists flat

Tip! Can you feel small bumps on the keys F and J? They are there to help you find the home keys without looking.
