The The iManager Reference Table
For quick reference, this table summarises the functions on each tab of the iManager.

Reports tab
| Create result report |
| Tests |
Choose the test whose results you want to
view in the report. If you want to include results from all tests,
choose 'All tests'. |
| Report type |
Choose the type of report you want
to create. |
| Time frame |
Choose the time period from which you want results to
the report. The options are: Today, Last 7 days, or Last 30 days. If you want to include all results, choose All entries. Note that 'Today' refers to all results that were collected 'today', not necessarily results of tests completed 'today'. |

Click on the 'Create..' button to create a HTML report
with your chosen result data. |
| Update results |
| Update.. |
Click on the 'Update..' button to retreive the most
recent result data from the Mail Server. Wait until the update bar shows 100% before starting to create any reports. |
| Update automatically on startup |
Check the box if you want to update results automatically
each time you open the iManager. |
| Clean up results |
| Remove results older than.. |
Choose how old result data will be removed from the
database. The options are 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, and All entries. |
| Remove.. |
Click on the 'Remove..' button to delete the selected
result data from the database. |
| Clean up automatically on startup |
Check the box if you want to remove old results automatically
each time you open the iManager. Note that you also need to select
how old results will be removed. |
iTest Report Types
| Results sorted by net speed |
Report lists result data in descending order by net typing speed.
In case there are equal net typing speeds, the second sorting criteria
is accuracy percentage. |
| Results sorted by user name |
Report lists result data in alphabetical order by user name. In case a user has taken several tests, his/her results are shown in descending
order by net typing speed. Email address is shown to distinguish
between users who have the same name. |
| Results sorted by test date |
Report lists result data in descending order showing the most recent
test data first. Tests taken on a same day are shown in descending
order sorted first by net typing speed, then by accuracy percentage. |
| Results sorted by accuracy |
Report lists result data in descending order by accuracy percentage. The second sorting criteria is net typing speed. If there are equal results, the third sorting
criteria is test duration. |
| Results sorted by test name |
Report shows results in alphabetical order by the name of the test. The second sorting criteria is net typing speed and the third accuracy percentage. |
| Full user info report |
Report shows all contact information and test data for each test taker.
Information is shown in alphabetical order by the name of the test taker and test result data
of each person in descending order sorted by net typing speed. If 'All Tests' is chosen, the report shows this data grouped by the test taken.
This report is useful when you want to find test takers' contact
information. To search specific data from the HTML-document in Windows,
press CTRL+F, type in a keyword and click 'Find next' or press Enter.

Tests tab
| Text ID |
ID code of the test text file. |
| Tests |
Lists the tests currently in the iManager. Checkbox
named 'Enabled' is used to activate the tests and put them online. |
| Add test.. / Delete test |
Use the 'Add test..' button to add a test
to the selection in the iManager or the 'Delete test' button to remove
a test. |
| Name |
Name of the typing test shown in the drop-down menu
of the Applet. |
| Description |
Description of the typing test shown on the first screen
of the Applet when test takers select the test. |
| Author |
Enter the name of the author of the test text, if needed.
Shown to the test taker when at the beginning of the typing test. |
| Copyright |
Enter copyright information if using a copyrighted test
text. Shown to the test taker at the beginning of the typing test. |
| Text |
The window shows the start of the chosen test text. |
| Change.. |
Used to change the text of the chosen typing test without
having to change other settings. |
| Duration |
Enter the duration for typing test. If left blank, the
test taker can choose test duration from the options set on the 'Settings'
tab. |
| Speed |
Enter the minimum typing speed (net) required to pass
the typing test. The value is not shown to test takers unless you tell about it in the test description field. |
| Accuracy |
Enter the minimum accuracy percentage required to pass
the typing test. The value is not shown to test takers. |

| Force completion |
When set to 'Enabled' the test taker is required to
finish the test before sending any results. |
| Backspace behavior |
With this setting you can either allow the test takers to use backspace to correct errors during the test or prevent it. If allowed, the test taker can correct errors in the current word s/he is typing. However, once the test taker types a space after a word, corrections typed can no longer be made to this last word.

| Default test duration |
Options from which the users can choose typing test
duration. By default, this is set to 5 minutes. Other options are: 1-5 min. (user choice), i.e. user can select any duration from 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 minute duration, and: 1-60 min. (user choice), i.e. 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes.
If a minimum accuracy percentage to pass is set on the 'Tests' tab, it overrides this setting. |
| Speed unit |
This option sets the typing speed measurement unit used. In the US, the standard unit is WPM, i.e. Words per Minute. In Europe, the standard typing speed unit is CPM, i.e. Characters per Minute (also called KPM, Keystrokes or Keydepressions per Minute). |
| User information |
| User must fill in all fields |
When set to 'Enabled' the test taker must fill in all
the information fields before the result email can be sent. |
| Custom Fields 1, 2, and 3 |
Custom fields are used to collect additional information from the
test taker, such as mailing address and telephone. If left blank,
the field will not appear in the Test Applet.
Note: Name and email
address are always asked from all test takers by default.

One-row title on the first screen of the Test Applet.
Default: "TypingMaster Inc. Typing Test"

| Introductory message |
Explanatory and/or introductory message shown on the first screen
of the Test Applet. Type \n to insert line breaks, if necessary.
Default: "Please select the typing test
and click Begin to continue."

| Test passed |
Message shown if test is passed. Type \n to insert line breaks,
if necessary.
Default: "You have completed the test.
Press Next to enter your information."
|
| Test failed |
Message shown if test is failed (requires that minimum speed to
pass has been set set). Type \n to insert line breaks, if necessary.
Default: " Unfortunately you did not pass the test. Press Next to try again.\n\nYour typing speed or accuracy was not high enough."

| User info prompt |
Message shown when the user should enter in their information.
Type \n to insert line breaks, if necessary.
Default: "Please fill in your personal information
and press Next to confirm."
|
| End message |
Message shown at the very end of test. Type \n to insert line breaks,
if necessary.
Default: "Your test results have been sent, thank you."

When set to 'Enabled' test takers can select whether
to recieve copy of their results via email. |
| Result template |
Style of result email sent to the test taker, either
'Simple' or 'Advanced'. The templates are editable and located in
the installation folder at ..\\webroot\typetest\templates. |

Enable or disable sending the results through email (or HTTP).
Note: Must always be set to 'Enabled' if result data is collected.
If set to 'Disabled' no result data is received.

| Result format |
Choose how result data will be sent to the administartor,
either as plain text email or as database entries for the iManager. |
| SMTP mail server |
Name of the Mail Server which is used to send results
from the Applet, e.g. yourmail.server.com |
| iManager email address |
Email address where result emails will be sent to from
the Applet. |
| iManager POP account |
POP account that the iManager uses to access the iManager
Email Address. |
| Sender address |
Any valid email address for the defined Mail Server
that will be set as the sender of emails. |
| Advanced settings |
| Exit page |
The HTML page to which the test taker is sent to when
typing test is closed. |
| Standard word length |
The standard word length used to calculate WPM is a 5-keystroke word (when typing in English). However, the standard word length in English business language is approx. 5.93 keystrokes. This is why in TypingMaster iTest you can choose to set standard word length to 6, instead of the default value of 5. |
| Advanced HTTP URL |
URL to CGI script for processing results (Optional).
Used if iTest result delivery is integrated to other databases in
use. |
| Verify SMTP server |
Used to verify the connection to the SMTP Server before
typing test starts. |
Licenses tab
| Current license |
Shows the license type you have in use. |
| Name |
Enter the name of the organization or person to whom
the program is licensed. |
| License code |
Enter the license key for the program. |
