QuickPhrase data is stored into .DTA phrase file in a binary format, this binary file may get damaged e.g. if the file is located in a shared folder and the network connection is dropped during file write. Its a good idea to make backups time to time.

QuickPhrase version 4.0.97 version has now a new repair mode that should be able to repair a damaged phrase file.

Repair mode activates by entering Repairmode=1 into c:\program files\Quickphrase/Qp.ini file with notepad.

After enabling this setting, simply restart QuickPhrase and choose to open the damaged file. The file content should appear.

Make a small change and resave the phrase file under a new name or use Export feature (right click the main folder) to store your phrases to a new file. Its recommended to disable the repairmode after restoring the corrupted dta file.
