I have a few students whom are getting incorrect calculations. For example: as it said in the subject, I just had a student get 487 WPM on exercise 12.1.

Hi Harley,

would you be so kind to send further information about this, please? From the User Manager, please quote the gross speed, accuracy and net speed in your reply. It would also be great if you got in touch with us with the support contact form so that we can investigate this further with you.

Follow up on May, 19:
After analyzing the user database of this particular customer, it remains a mystery to us how this one student was able to reach these scores. The very high WPM results were achieved just in the few easier drill types: in theory it could be possible that student is using some kind of a macro software that autotypes the input; however this would require advanced computer skills. Another, yet unlikely option is that user has somehow been able to alter his user file containing the study records. Third option is of course that the student has found a bug from our software that makes these scores possible. This too would seem unlikely as we've not received any other contacts about very high scores from any of our thousands of users, and haven't been able to reproduce the bug in our internal testing.

The customer's TypingMaster Pro 7 version was somewhat dated (7.00.707 whereas the latest release is 7.01.794). Upgrading the installation may also have resolved the issue.

If we update the server side of the program, will we have to use run Netsetup on the client computers again, or will the client be automatically updated?

Hi,

Once you have upgraded TypingMaster on the server, follow the easy steps below to update the client computers automatically:

1. Open Manager and go to the Licenses tab.
2. Click on "Select all" to check all workstations, then click on "Upgrade workstations".
3. When TypingMaster is used on a client the next time, NETSETUP will be automatically launched to complete the upgrade installation. Version column keeps displaying a note 'Upgrading' until the upgrade installation is completed.
