I would like to move our current TypingMaster intra installation to a different Linux system, and this one does not have a window manager installed. Is it possible to install from just the command line? When I try now, I get the following:

Preparing to install...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...

Launching installer...

Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException. This application will now exit. (LAX)

Stack Trace:
java.awt.HeadlessException:
No X11 DISPLAY variable was set, but this program performed an operation which requires it.

Hi,

We use a cross platfrom set up utility which creates the necessary shortcuts and services for mac, windows and linux. This setupper has a graphical interface. However the actual TypingMaster Intra server does not use a graphical GUI at all.

The easiest way to move your TypingMaster Installation to the new Linux system is just to copy your existing installation directory wholesale to your new server. You can for example zip it up and then move it using scp and unzip on the new server.

If you don't have an existing installation to move, you can just install TypingMaster Intra on your workstation and then move the newly created application directory to your server.

When you have moved the files, you can then start up and shut down the TypingMaster Intra server using the scripts in the bin subdirectory. This directory also has instructions on making TypingMaster Intra a service which automatically starts on reboot. These instructions are in the bin/readme.txt file.
