Hi all,

I am a user of TypingMaster Pro (7) for some time now and have a couple of in-house-built Typing Tests, specific for the language and also because the work is with software and have built particular tests with computer programming language excerpt codes.

When new Typing Tests are added at the appropriate section, the new tests shown follow an unkown sequence at the 1.Test Text field.
The expected result should be to show the new tests in ascending alphabetical order, as it is with the original buit-in tests; what is more appropriate because since the number of new tests are like tens of them, it is somehow hard to locate the target test among such high number of tests.

The question is: how do I do in order to keep all typing tests, both new and original, in an ascending alphabetical order at the 1.test text screen field? What is the criteria to define the sequence order?

Thanks in advance!
MGS

Hi mgoncsilva,

TypingMaster Pro organizes the texts you have added in chronological order on top of existing texts.

After you have added your own text go to your TypingMaster Pro installation folder (eg. C:\Program Files\TypingMaster7\) and choose 'Texts' folder. You will see all text files as duplicate; 1 file containing the text (.exm) and 1 file containing the settings (.exi). You will need to edit .exi file. See below what it looks like.

Name=test.txt (custom)
userAdded=TMPro
dateAdded=40471.65625
Copyright=Added by SiniUK 20.10.2010

You can change the name here (or in TypingMaster User Manager if you have installed it). Delete these rows:

userAdded=TMPro
dateAdded=40471.65625

By deleting these rows you remove the timestamp and the text will be visible among the other texts in an alphabetical order.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
