Why are Admin administrator rights required to run manager?
Accessing TypingMaster Pro User Manager under Windows Vista/2008 requires Administrator rights by default , however the following workaround can be used to launch User Manager from Win2008 Terminal Server without admin rights:
STEPS:
- first make sure TypingMaster software is installed to a folder outside c:\\program files \ (this location is restricted)
- you can use e.g. c:\\shares\\typingmaster
- next remove the file c:\\shares\\typingmaster\\manager.exe.manifest
- Now standard user accounts can start User Manager, you can use file ACLs to restrict the access to teachers only
